Here’s a guy whose fans are the very first to refer to him as a real class act. The Catshack is pleased to have had Chris Lasoya take a moment out of his very busy schedule to have a quick word with us.
Chris it is the Catshack’s mandate to acquaint the Canadian paintball
scene with as many big names in paintball as possible, that having been said please introduce yourself and the team you play for?
I am Chris LaSoya and have been playing paintball for 23 years. I am currently injured but San Diego Aftermath is where I lay my hat.
Where did it all begin for Chris Lasoya?
In 86′ I played for the 1st time with my father and his company. It has been go, go, go ever since then. I never looked back.
Chris who all is on the roster for the team this year?
San Diego Aftermath has a strong roster this year. Mike Hinman runs a real tight ship and he has a good eye for talent and weakness as well. Alex Goldman, Bobby Aviles, Steven Pitts, Zach Wake, Tyler Harmon , Pat Huges, Marcello Magott and many many more farm players.
Chris doing a little homework I note a lot of your fans are clear that you are a real class act, what would you say to the player just starting out with a speedball tournament team and why?
Work on your snap shooting and your running and gunning. This will help you advance your skills and make it to the winners podium.
What are all the tournaments you and the team have competed in to date and where else will you be competing at through the rest of 2009?
There are wayyy to many to name but i have played in just about every country that plays paintball. I only have the WC this year left and maybe to Malaysia for a little paintball vacation.
Thus far in the season how has the team fared as far as standings etc?
The team is growing and starting to do real well. 2nd place in Chicago and I am sure there is more to come.
Which charities if any do you support and why?
I support MAD and DARE for sure…. stay in school and learn what you need too brotha and sistas…
Where do you see yourself in the future Chris Lasoya?
I see myself providing the future pros with the knowledge that I have. A lot of the kids these days seem to think they know everything and I love to show them they have just started. However there are a select few that respect old people like me and realize that I have something to show them and learn from what I teach them. Much love to the people willing to learn.
