San Franciso Explicit stops by the Catshack to lend their overall thoughts and insights on the USPL this past weekend including some highlights for the team
As the gates opened and a long weekend began, the USPL West Coast Open was under
way. With Divisional teams starting at 8 in the morning and pros starting at 2 the day went well. The divisional teams were able to play in the morning and watch the pros in the afternoon. The pro teams played both Friday and Saturday so everyone was able to watch the action on center court. All in all the event was well set up and everything ran smoothly. With just about every vendor there what more could you ask for? Music in between games, Kingman testing their new paintball pistol, and the Spyder girls running around…the event was on.
Explicit didn’t do as well as we would have liked. Playing a man down for 5 games may have gotten to a few of us. Thankfully we pulled through with our first win of the day against the strong Oakland Blast. The winning continued facing XSV with a little controversy. The last game of the day was against the tough Chicago Legend. B-Town, Adam, and Ryan pulling off a 3 on 5 secured the win. Explicit finished the day with a 3-4 record but we were happy with how the day ended. Once again missing the cut by 1 win only continued the hunger and drive for more.

Stay tuned for specific dates this month where Explicit, Blast, Xsv and Bushwackers will be putting on a Charity Exhibition Games. Tentative date will be Saturday September 5th at Capital Edge Paintball Field in Sacramento. Specifics to be released this week. The money raised will be given to Pro Teams choice of charity!
