SavePhacecracked_Web_Logo-1Save Phace has been in the goggle market for some time now. In 2004 Save Phace released their mask for the fishing industry to protect boaters eyes from rain, hail and insects while scooting across the water. Within a few short months of their product being released they were approached by paintball players who wanted to know when the company would make something specific for paintball.  I spoke to Jerry Wright over the telephone for about an hour to get the scoop for everyone.

Leary to enter an unknown market Jerry Wright was not certain he wanted to enter the market aimed at paintball players. But the players were relentless with constant emails and phone calls to the company. Some players even went so far as to modify the Sports Utility Masks by bolting in the lens and adding soft ears as an example.  Knowing this was unsafe it was time to take a serious look at this facet of the industry.

So Jerry started the long research process into a new industry he was unfamiliar with. He went to some fields in California in late 2004 and early 2005 where he spoke to speedball players who wanted something small, flexible and able to get bounces.  Not the news Jerry wanted to hear at first.  He did not know there was a such thing a scenario and recreation play until he went from field to field for six months.  Asking questions of every player he could talk to he soon realized players did no so much care if the masks were hard or soft, if you got hit in the goggles and were lucky enough to get a bounce you had the good chance of getting hit with another ball a millisecond later with the rapid fire markers we have now. DSC_0068 The players he talked to wanted to be able to have graphics on their masks to stand out, they wanted an anti-fog coating that worked, they wanted something low profile and something with an easy change lens.

It was with this research that Jerry Wright and Save Phace decided to enter the paintball market.  He saw that the trend in this market was that the minority of the players were dictating the style and products to the playing majority. This is now how the market share is supposed to work.  So the goggle were to be aimed at the larger player base. Save Phace bought every mask on the market they could find to research what worked and what did not. They found that a lot of companies were using sub par anti-fog technology on their mask lenses. With their knowledge of anti-fog they acquired  from world wide research the company uses military grade fog coatings on all of their lenses, providing the highest level of fog protection possible for their customers. You can have a single pane lens that offers the same fog protection as some of the bigger name companies dual pane lenses with the proper coatings. Used by Canadian and Ukraine military personal as well as the United States Coast Guard the fog protection has been tested in every possible situation. Tested, tried and passing with flying colors.

Safety is the number one concern at Save Phace, and this does not only apply to their paintball products.  All of their products fully meet or exceed the ASTM International, ANSI and CE standards for protection. With the challenge from other companies that they would not be successful in the market Save Phace sprinted ahead and took the world by storm. With their hot graphics and plethora of accessories for their masks systems it is no wonder they are in 11 different markets and sell their products in 45 different countries.

Now let us talk about the cool factor you get with these goggles. From the many different designs available you can find something you will love.  From the skull look you get with the Voodoo Magic goggles to fully custom Diablo mask you have tons of options to choose from.  The masks range in price from entry level to the custom airbrushed designs done by artists in the Tagged Series. There is something for everyone.

518dnWLqUIL._SL500_AA280_The original mask was designed to fit most peoples heads but there was an issue for those of us who have a large melon resting upon your shoulders.  I am one of those unfortunate people with the larger brain cavity.  But fear not, soon to hit the market is a version two of their paintball goggles that is aimed to fit 98% of the populations heads.  So those of us with a bigger than normal head will have an option.  We can now own some of the hottest equipment to come out onto the market in some years.

For those that have never heard of this mask take notice.  My team has been using them for over a year and we love them.  If you ever need to contact Save Phace their customer service is top notch in the industry. They will do whatever they can to make their customers happy. If you are in the market for a new set of goggles keep an eye out on this company.

Keep an eye out people.  Save Phace is about to change in goggle industry in the next few months!
