Welcome to Urban Ops Armory!
Urban Ops is here to provide the MILSIM community with the most diverse selection of products on the market to date.
Our goal is to provide you the operator, whether it is Woodsball, Speedball, or Tactical Operations, with the gear you need when you need it. MILSIM is our sport, and this company is our life, and by this we will deliver our products to you, to meet your needs as a fellow player and tactical operator.
If you are a Woodsball Player, Speedball Player, or Tactical Operator then you’ve found your Armory.
Like other paintball businesses, does Urban Ops Armory go on site to different paintball events?…if so what are some of the events that UOArmory were in attendance at during 2009…..highlights of 2009?
Yes, we try to attend as many local events as possible. We work very closely with a local field (On Target Paintball) and sponsor almost every game that is held there. We love “On Target Paintball” because this is where we got our start. We believe that this is one of the most diverse fields in the area if not the country. At one point in a game you can be running through thick woods and the next second you can be in a wide open sand pit entering into the 15 building town.
We have attended multiple events at On Target paintball ranging from the annual Toy for Tots game, Battle for the cure, Army Day, and many more. Some of the other events that we have sponsored and attended were, Tac Ten Paintball League, Fulda Gap, The Ice Breaker, Operation Alpha, and a few others.
Urban Ops Sponsors 12 teams and 1 person.

As a business, what is some of the criteria you like to see when considering sponsoring a team?
The most annoying thing that I find when teams call asking for a sponsorship and is an automatic no, is when you ask what the website name and address is. That shows me that you are only in it to get gear cheap or if you can free. Two other annoying habits of teams are, not ever buying from us before they ask for a sponsorship or giving me a list of demands of what you want.
We look for teams who are in love with the sport, who are out there to get other players into the sport and who want to be number one. If you’re a new team that just starting up but you have the motivation and drive to become the best, you have just as good as an opportunity to be sponsored as a 5 man TTPL(Tac Ten Paintball League) team. We want actual teams, not friends who just get together and shoot it out. Also, it is much better if teams put together a resume and not just write us saying “hey we want a sponsorship. Can you email me back and tell me what you can give us.” We get multiple requests like this each day.
You can find our sponsorship app here: http://www.uoarmory.com/Sponsorships_s/160.htm
What sets UOArmory apart from other paintball businesses similar in nature?…what are some of the best products that UOArmory has to offer?
Prices, our prices are what set us apart from the other “MILSIM” type stores. We
try to keep them as low as possible so that you, the player have more money to spend playing the game and using your gear! I believe that our service is top notch. You will always have a human pick up the phone and for the most part be able to help you right then and there. We treat every customer as if they are our top buying customer. We go above and beyond what most stores will do. We are human and we do make mistakes but we work to make every shopping experience the best possible. I would say about 80-85% of our customers have been referred by a friend (according to our checkout poll) we believe if we treat you right you will want to come back to us and bring everyone you know.
I’d have to say that our best products we sell is our tactical gear. When it comes to tactical gear we know our stuff! We have supplied gear for the US and Friendly military units and law enforcement agencies around the world. We have a huge selection of Modular vests, pouches, and accessories in almost every camo pattern possible, we specialize in Multicam. We sell nothing but 100% Crye Precision Multicam, and will accept nothing less. We also have a wide variety of uniforms in many of the popular camo patterns ranging from tiger stripe to multicam. We provide our customers with some of the leading names in the business; we have everything from Full Clip USA to Condor Outdoor.
What are you able to share as far as what might be on the books for 2010 for UOArmory?
Well we have a lot of plans in the works for 2010. We will be attending a lot of great events this year including the US Army Combat classic at West Point. We also have plans for a possible expansion of the Urban Ops facility which will include a store front. We are also currently working on a scenario event which we hope to hold this upcoming spring. There are a lot of other plans in the works but I can’t really go into too much detail due to security reasons.
Over and above recession, what do you feel are the problems that face paintball today and what could be done by both industry and the paintball community to address some of these concerns as far as corrective action?
I think one of the biggest problems for paintball is the misinformed. I have seen many occasions where the media makes paintball look like an evil sport which is training players to kill. They say we are Rambo wannabes running around the woods shooting each other, when this is the farthest thing from the truth. I believe that more positive media coverage from not only the paintball media but our everyday news coverage will help the sport out greatly. We need our everyday citizens to know that paintball is just as legit a sport as baseball or football. We have one of the greatest displays of sportsmanship if not the best. I have seen players get into one of the biggest battles of the day, shoot each other up and walk of the field laughing at each other shaking hands. When we talk about what can help the players out it would have to be prices. The cost to play at times can be pretty outrageous. When you have to pay $100.00 for a box of recball paint, something is wrong. Yes fields need to make money and yes we want everyone to spend money at the field, but when it comes down to it $100 for a box of recball paint is just crazy.
