Name: Kelly T.
Callsign: Bull
Age: 35
Hometown: Red Deer, Alberta, Canada
Home Field: Outkast Paintball
Team: 1 CAN PARA, CEF (www.ddaycommonwealth.com)
D-Day Unit: 1 CAN PARA, 6th Airborne Division, Commonwealth Expeditionary Forces
Rank and Position: Section Leader and Keeper of the Colors
Kelly first enlisted with 1 CAN PARA and the CEF for Oklahoma D-Day in 2009. His sound judgment, commitment to his team mates, his careful attention to integrity and sportsmanship, and aggressive approach to the game saw this relative new-comer quickly elevated to Team Leader, and then to Section Leader. Throwing himself into his new responsibilities, Kelly has proven a force to be reckoned with on the field and off. Since D-Day 2009 Kelly has taken to the field with 1 CAN PARA in Utah for Aliens in the Rockies, and several smaller events in Western Canada. In 2010, look for Kelly and 1 CAN PARA at Battlefield Utah in April (www.teamdesertedge.com), and Oklahoma D-Day (www.ddayadventurepark.com) in June.
Why 1 CAN PARA and the CEF? “I choose 1 CAN PARA and the CEF to honour the Canadians that gave their lives for our freedom,” says Kelly. “Like many of the players that go to Oklahoma, my grandfather was on the beaches of Normandy. I choose 1 CAN PARA after doing research on them and I really liked their aggressive style of play and the traditions that they uphold. After many, many conversations with several 1 CAN PARA members, and in particular with Cliff “MommaRog” Higgins, I realized that I had made the right choice. Being a first year D-Day player last year, the CEF welcomed me like I was a returning vet. There is nowhere I would rather play than with these guys. The CEF helps you to grow as a player and take encourages members to take on responsibilities within your unit to help your unit grow.”
Asked his favorite moment of D-Day 2009, Kelly is quick respond: “My proudest moment at Oklahoma DDay 2009 was when I was elevated to Color Sergeant and led 1 CAN PARA and the CEF in the parade carrying OUR Canadian Flag. The first person everyone saw was me carry the Canadian flag followed by 1 CAN PARA and the CEF. I was honored to be chosen by my team mates to carry the flag – it meant a lot to me.”
For Kelly the camaraderie and the team are more important than the game itself. A trained first responder, he has been of enormous help to his team mates. Scenario paintball can be unforgiving. Whether a bruise, blood or a break, Kelly is always there to lend a hand. In camp, he is everywhere, offering his assistance wherever it is needed. A dedicated recruiter, Kelly is constantly working to attract new teams and new players, particularly in Western Canada, to join with 1 CAN PARA and the CEF for Oklahoma D-Day and other major events across North America.

Its great to see Kelly activly recruiting and being recognized for such. His team took the Most Sportsmanlike Team award 2 years in a row in the AWL and if you ever get the chance to meet him, or play with or against him, you will see why. He is a shining example of a woodsball player.
Kelly has helped me with making the Widow Makers in Red Deer Alberta. He is one guy that can take control of any thing and make it the best it can be. I owe Kelly a lot and it is always a pleser to play with him. Good luck Bull at this years D-Day.
