Are you tired of you goggles fogging? Tired of your glasses fogging under your goggles while playing? Today I review Fogdoc. What is Fogdoc you ask? Fogdoc claims to stop glasses, goggles, mirrors, shields, lenses and more from fogging up. Safe and alcohol free it will increase clarity. You can have the best paintball marker and equipment but all that means nothing if you cannot see.
To use the product you first need to clean and dry the surface you plan on applying the product too. You then add Fogdoc concentrate with your fingertips. Rub the product on the surface until hazing occurs, let this then sit for thirty to sixty seconds and buff off with a clean dry micro fiber cloth that Fogdoc includes with your order. It is best to apply to both sides of the surface or at the least inside the pane. This product is safe for all glass, mirrors, acrylic, plexiglas and plastic surfaces. The mild ingredients are safe on all lenses and coatings, including anti-reflective coatings.
Fogdoc wants to make sure all of their customers are happy with their product and offer a Money Back Guarantee. All you have to do is contact them and if they cannot solve your issue they will have you ship back the remaining product and you shall be refunded, minus shipping cost.
With your order you receive a small bottle of Fogdoc, 2 micro fiber clothes, a vinyl sticker and two business cards.
Test number one consisted of me taking the product and applying it to my prescription glasses per the instructions. I put a small amount on my finger and applied it to the lenses in a circular motion until hazing occurred. One that happened I let the product cure for a minute or so and then used the supplied micro fiber cloth to buff the hazy product off of the lenses. I then went to the kitchen sink and turned the hot water only. Keep in mind I have my hot water tank jacked up to 150 degrees. I then held my glasses over the sink while steam emanated around the glasses encompassing the entire lens and frame. The result was no fogging at all. So far the product lives up to its name.
On to test number two, the dreaded foggy bathroom. I turned the shower on in the bathroom, again only using hot water. I closed the door while the shower was running to get the maximum effect. I let the water run for at least five minutes and when I opened the door it looked like a foggy spring morning in there. I could barely make out the shower curtain, the mirror was covered with so much condensation it was rolling off the glass like rain against your window. I walked into the bathroom and noticed all of this because my glasses did not fog up at all. I sat there with the water running to produce more steam as I let some out when I initially entered the room, closing the door behind me. After about 30 seconds longer I still had no fog but water condensation was starting to build up as it does on a soda can on a hot day. Not the fault of the product as that will happen in extremely wet conditions to any surface.
In short I would give the product a 9 out of 10 overall. There is a slight odor to the product, nothing unpleasant. It is a cross between licorice and a mild detergent smell. Weird at first when you notice it as it is unexpected but it is quickly something you can get used too.
