Scientists believe that alternate universes exist apart from our own. Parallel, but with strange similarities to our own. Forming from a decision in the past that dizzyingly alters the future, these realities are known as “shards”. A traveler from a different shard has arrived and history will never be the same.

The New Republic of Europe has completed its conquest of the Asian Combine and has turned its eyes on the Colonies. Ever since the rise of Britain after the second world war and the subsequent defeat of the “United States” by the Japanese (due to their remarkable advances in technology), the world seems to be at peace. Now the vestiges of the colonials rally to rebel against the HRA (Her Majesty’s Royal Army) and their continual tread towards complete world domination. But their plans do not seem as dire as they appear with the appearance of a newcomer.

Calling himself Kane, he claims to come from a world apart from our own and is hunting another like himself, simply called Abel. He offers technology to the ill-equipped colonials, the likes of which haven’t been seen in our world. He believes that things must be set right and finding Abel is the key.

Meanwhile in the New Republic, Queen Victoria and her advisers make ready for war upon the rebel Colonials, in hopes of finally establishing dominion across the world.

Dominion Characters:

*New Republic of Europe*:

Prince Shepard Leonid
The queen’s youngest son, and the only surviving heir after the death of his brothers early in the conflict against the Asian Combine due to a covert assassination, he’s risen to power and is known as the Royal Reaper, as he’s cut a swath across the world and only to be stopped by the Colonials and their new advances in weapon technology that he can’t figure out. He’s fiery impulsive and relies on his adviser William and his Wolf Generals, his inner council, to handle the tactical business of war. He revels in the politics and mastery of the word and acts as the public face of the New Republic.

Kaiser William Mutevnic
Son of the great hero Abraham of the Asian Combine conflict, William has a deep seated hatred for the Colonials, as they had assisted in the conflict with the Asians and inadvertently caused the fall and disappearance of his father. Possessed of a dizzying intelligence, William is the youngest of the Wolf Generals, and is known simply as William the Cunning. He’s a master of intelligence gathering and has a cohesive spy network throughout the world, including within the colonies.

Sir Roderick Willheim II
The elder of the Wolf Generals, Roderick is the grizzled veteran, having fought in the first and second revolutionary wars against the colonials and survived the assassination that killed the two elder Leonid brothers. Because of his reputation for surviving, he’s known as Roderick the Invincible, a name he’s earned time in again as the head of the HMSF, Her Majesties Special Forces, also known as the Nightwolves.

Pierre LeChuck
The newest member of the inner council, Pierre is one of the most arrogant of the Republic’s generals. Preferring to lead from the front and always touting his distant heritage to Napoleon, he’s reckless but gets results. Lechuck the Merciless is the name his enemies give him, primarily because its not his policy to leave survivors, towns or cities in his wake.

Lee
A defector during the war with the Asian Combine, Lee is one of the greatest scientific minds of his generation, having invented all of the devices and weapons used against his own brethren. Very little is known besides his first name, and some suspect that he may even be a she, since no one has ever seen them in public.

*Colonials*:

Henry Clements
Head of the Minutemen, the resistance force that has existed since the colonies were established, Henry was newly elevated to the position after his predecessor was executed by LeChuck. It isn’t a secret that his predecessor was his sister and that he’s very upset at her death. Many of the colonials doubt his ability to lead, as he tends to be borderline suicidal in his pursuit of the famed Wolf Generals. He’s kept in check by
his advisers, but many wonder when he’ll go too far.

Joshua Angheim
Henry’s best friend since they were kids, he has a cool and calculated personality which seems to temper his friend’s fiery nature. Because of this he acts as the voice of reason with him and often helps in advising the
troop movements and safe-house construction. He’s also known as one of the top marksman in the colonies, having come from a long line of hunters and also is the commander of the vaunted Red Coats, the covert spy group that supposedly helped orchestrate the assassination on the Leonid brothers, in an attempt to assist in the war with the Combine.

Steven Jost
Simply known as Tank, Steven is the head of heavy operations for the colonials, any raids are usually conducted by him and his “boys”, an unnamed special forces unit that seems to operate independently of the rebellion, sometimes leading them himself. Its for this particular quirk that Henry is really close with him, the two sharing the same fiery temper and thirst for fighting, its just Tank’s is a little less directed.

Bryan Burmingham
Financial adviser to the colonials, he’s possibly the brightest hacker of his time, funding the entirety of the Rebellion with funds stolen from the Royal Family themselves, Bryan is one of the rebellions greatest assets. Using one of the new technological advances gifted to the Rebellion by their newest ally, Kane, he’s found a way to completely infuse himself into the INN, the International Neural Network, the primary source of information and conduit directly into the cash-boxes of the Royals. Known as a quiet loner, most colonials respect him, but quite a few fear him as his infusion to the INN had required several augmentations to his skull and face.

Chan
Another immigrant from the Asian Combine, he was the lab assistant to the famed “Lee” of the New Republic. Having arrived newly with the mysterious traveler, Kane, Chan works diligently on plans and designs provided by the odd man. He seeks to defeat Lee through pure technological advancement, even if its someone else’s designs. Even living in the shadow of the Kane and Lee, Chan is a forced to be reckoned with and many of his battlefield designs are used today in the war against the Royals.

Neutrals:

Abel
Abel is actually masquerading as one of the Wolf Generals, and is responsible for causing the defeat of the United States over 50 years ago as well as masterminding the Assassination of Queen Mary the V, which led to the war with the Asian Combine, as well as the Assassination of the Leonid Brothers, leading to the current war of Dominion against the colonials. He’s a shard traveler from a different dimension and seems to be altering the time-line for a specific goal.

Goal Option: By altering the time-line in the way he has, he’s trying to force events to occur to allow the invention of a Shard Destroyer, which, according to his research can only be achieved by a very specific occurrence of events, which he is trying to recreate in this “shard” to destroy his home shard for reasons unknown.

Kane
A mysterious traveler that arrived in the Great Hall of the East shortly before the end of the war with the Combine and the Republic, he’s assisted the Colonials with new technological advancements and weapons to fight against the Royals. His intentions seem good, but there is an air of distrust by the colonials of the fellow, mainly because of his mysterious arrival and lack of a past.
