The Maltese Militia Paintball Team had our first outing of 2010. Several members made the drive to one of the friendliest indoor fields we have ever been to. Hornetsnest Paintball is a gem that is tucked into the fields of Eastern NY state. With an owner who would give the shirt off his back, to the heated indoor field and a fine proshop, we always enjoy our trips to play at Hornetsnest.
This trip was just for fun, no event, no tournaments, just a day of playing 
paintball. With many other folks in attendance we got to play with and against some fine paintballers. We will be returning to the Nest in March for another day of “knocking off the rust”. Hopefully we can all get the kinks out, as the next event for us will be Castle Conquest at EMR paintball. Micah from Blackflies Paintball team was on hand and took some nice pics of us playing. He was kind enough to let us post them online and include them here. Thanks Micah!
Looking Forward To Our First Big Event of 2010
The Maltese Militia will once again be “attackers” for our annual trip to EMR Paintball and the annual event known for “Pure Paintball Insanity!” Yes, we will again be attacking the dreaded Castle Aarrgh along with several hundred of our best friends and many of our paintball acquaintances. This is a great way to start off the big game season. This is one of the premier East Coast events and we would not miss it for anything. If you could only make one event all year, this would be the one. We should be set up at our usual spot near the volleyball net. We would love for anyone to stop by and say HI! We will also be giving away one of our custom prize packages at this event.

Over the years we have experimented with a multitude of helmet cams and have posted the video on multiple places on the web. Why is the Star Flag on our Web Page, Newsletter and at our events?
This is for one of our members who is currently deployed in Iraq. Please keep him and all of our Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors, and other deployed military in your thoughts and prayers. May the mission be over soon and may they all come home safe and sound. We will be leaving this posted until our teammate “Obvious” returns home.
