We will have T-shirts that if any business wants to put their logo on it they can with a donation to the team. We don’t know about biking jerseys for the ride, because of the price but we are trying our best
While you’re considering a donation please keep in mind, every cent goes to supporting the princess Margaret Hospitals Cancer Research and finding a cure in our life time.
Anything above $10 you can receive a tax receipt.
Why we are doing it:
You may ask yourself “why?” Because our sweat, is nothing compared to their tears. Because our challenge, is nothing compared to their fight. Throughout the ride we will be Supporting the fighters, Admiring the survivors and honoring the taken.
Joseph: During this ride my strength and determination will come from two very important people in my family. My mom, Suzanne Mikitish who is battling this disease and my grandfather who I was proudly named after, Joseph Verschuuren who unfortunately also battled this disease but lost.
Kyle : Because I have seen the heartbreak it can cause first hand through a good friend of mine’s father passing away from sinus cancer.
Ian: I enjoy biking and when Joseph asked me to join him on the ride, I said sure and its for a good cause.
Behind the name:
Why “Never Alone”, because you are never alone, whatever you may be battling in your life, there is always someone who is there. Whether you know it or not, you got to have faith that someone is, even when you feel like no one is. This will be the first year the team will be doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer, so far the team is made up of three friends from totally different backgrounds who have been affected by cancer in one way or another. During the ride the team welcomes anyone to ride with us from Toronto to Niagara Falls because no one should ride alone.
