What can I say about Team Federation Guard that isn’t already on the teams website? The core members of the team originally were part of another house team at Tactical Paintball. Eventually a split saw them form their own team. Thus Team Federation Guard came into being. Why the name Federation Guard? If you look closely at their team logo you will note a Star Trek delta. Why? This team was formed by several members of a local Star Trek group called the USS Bexar of which members of the team belong.

As the members of our group are so diverse in our everyday lives, we decided that this name was a great fit for our crew.

What does the team stand for? The team represents clean sportsmanship, camaraderie, and friendship as our core values. Our membership not only play together, we spend time at each others homes and do things such as going to the movies together. Team Federation Guard not only plays paintball but we also do volunteer work to help improve our community. If an situation comes along where our numbers are needed, we contact the membership and make attempts to assist with whatever situation is at hand.

It is our sincere hope that we continue to gain quality members that believe in

training hard, playing hard and at the same time having a blast. Without our membership, we are nothing. No matter how far we make it in the paintball world we will never forget our humble beginnings and WE will do this together. Each and every one of the founding members of this team have all been through tough times together . That to us, is the real definition of what a real team should be. Not just focusing on tactics but the bond and friendship each and every one of us have established with each other as we grow with the team.

It is these qualities combined together that forms a TEAM and a FORCE to really be reckoned with, a team that plays with HONOR, INTEGRITY and great SPORTSMANSHIP. It is this example and attitude we want to pass on to the future of paintball, our young guns. Here at the Federation Guard, we support our young guns the best we can. Some of our young guns also happen to be our pride and joy,  one members two older sons also known as Scorpion and Menace. Scorpion won the Young Gun Award at the Drug War-Extreme Prejudice game held at Tactical Paintball this past May 15, 2010 and Menace barrel tagged an adult on the opposing side during the Pirates-Curse of the Pink Flamingo’s this past June 6, 2010 at Paintball Zone North in Houston, Texas. Scorpion started out with the team when it was first established as a separate entity and literally grew up playing with the team. Menace on the other hand, just recently started playing with the team this year. The Raid on Entebbe held at Tactical Paintball this past March, was his very first scenario game. In the short time he has been playing with the team, he has quickly established himself as an up and coming young gun to watch out for, regardless of whether he is facing an adult or one of his own peers.

What can our team do for you? Our team can help you improve your paintball

skills through active participation in our team practices. The team spends time on the field practicing tactical building entries, team communications using verbal and non-verbal cues and unit movement.

What does our future hold? The team is currently working on saving funds for  team building at our home field Tactical Paintball. We are also actively seeking an old vehicle that we can convert into our “Tank” so that we have a heavy vehicle for big games we attend.

One clarification on our membership. Although we have members from all over the State of Texas, we only play at our home field at Tactical Paintball. The team leadership resides in the San Antonio area thus we claim on our website that we are a San Antonio based team. Our team does not play speedball.

Since our inception our team has truly grown, recently we gained some major sponsorships with Red Dot paintball, and BT paintball. How do our sponsorships help our members? We can offer our membership great deals from both Battlefield Tested and Red Dot. We are a proud home team with Tactical Paintball. When there isn’t a big game going on at our home field, members are allowed to play for FREE at the field. We also get a deep discounts on product at the field pro shop.
