The Catshack Reports recently received the new Tippmann Tru Feed magazine for the TPX Pistol. We then decided what better place to examine and really put this hardware through its paces than Operation Milsim’s new “Urban Warfare Facility”.
With over 70 walk on players in attendance on Saturday July 3rd for their Canada Day Blast event, the Catshack Reports touched base with none other than Fox of BlackOpsTV in attendance to truly see what this hardware was all about. Minor engineering changes noted a difference between the standard magazines “top nub” for lack of a better description. The new Tru Feed nub is rounded and less likely to be hard on a paintball as it feeds into the chamber. Further the magazine went from a double to single stack design to improve the magazine efficiency to deliver paintball rounds.
The enhanced magazine,
which holds seven paintballs instead of the traditional eight, is designed to optimize the TPX Pistol’s performance regardless of environmental conditions – such as temperature and humidity – or the type of paintballs being utilized.
In addition to coming standard with all new TPX Pistols, the enhanced seven-ball magazine will also be available as a two-pack accessory. The packaging for both the pistol and two-pack accessory will incorporate a TPX Tru-Feed logo, making it easy for consumers to recognize the new products.
Following a good look at the magazines new design, The Catshack put the Tippmann TPX equipped with the Tru Feed into the hands of the Fox and had him take it onto the field and put it through its paces. Despite high humidity, the TPX performed flawlessly without a single break or feed failure. As Fox so aptly put it “this TPX rocks baby, booo yahhhhh”.
As the event progressed The Catshack Reports spoke with Urban Warfare Facility” management Ian “Captain Sid” Myers and Jorj “White Slice” Andonian, and had them pow wow with other staff to award a brand new TPX Pistol to the MVP of the day. Congratulations Robert Epp who brought his A game and stood out from the crowd to win a brand new TPX courtesy of Tippmann Sports LLC and the Catshack Reports Paintball News (we love giving stuff away).
