Tactical Operations Grand Opening August 5th and 6th
I had the opportunity to take to the phones and speak with Mike Boers. Mike along with his business partners Keith Pol and Derek Metcalfe set out on an adventure in 2009. Mike is no stranger to paintball he was a very active player during the years of 1998 – 2001. His work took him out of the game for a while.
Well now he’s back! Playing along side Keith Pol and members of the “Roughnecks Paintball Team†as well as starting up a new paintball store “Tactical Operationsâ€.
The store was known as JM Tactical from 2010 until June 1st of this year.
“I had a welding shop, Keith Pol a paintball player asked that I bring in CO2 tanks, I had no idea it would be the beginning of a successful business todayâ€, Mike mentions nonchalantly. They then set out to find a wholesaler to purchase product and landed with Underground Productz in Ontario, Canada. They began advertising on sites such as Facebook hence interest in their product began to grow. Mike states, as the product began flooding the welding shop they started looking for more space. When speaking with a friend, Mike was referred to Derek Metcalfe in whose interest are mainly in air soft. After discussions with Derek the three decided to combine the business as one. Combining the business would bring in more revenue and more supply to the public. They agreed that a storefront was important therefore they landed the business in Stratford, Ontario. Not able to run the business on site they agreed that Keith Pol would be the frontrunner at this location.
Mike states, “We have come a long ways with an enormous amount of support and we are not through yetâ€
