For Immediate Release:

2011 year in review, from the eyes of the Maltese Militia…

The Maltese Militia Paintball Team thanks all of our sponsors for a great 2011 season. While this year had its share trials and tribulations with members having deaths in their family and events happening during very inclement weather. The team pulled together and made the best of these situations and still had a great year of fun on the paintball field.

Our team picks our sponsors after we have used their product and feel that is the best product available to paintball players. Only then will we talk with the vendors and setup a sponsorship for our team. While these folks may provide us with a discount on products, our main focus is to have a prize package to share these items with other players. These sponsors made our Custom Prize Package a huge success for another year. Our package was made up of prizes from Hammerhead Paintball Barrels, Stinger Paintball Designs, EMR Paintball, Goblin Paintball, Guardian Uniforms, and Eye to Eye imaging. We also have a great agreement with Pinokio Hoppers.

We were able to visit many fine field that include EMR Paintball in New Milford, PA, Xtreme Paintball in Agawam, MA, Extreme Paintball in WIndsor, CT, and Geko Paintball in CT. Unfortunately Geko ended up closing this year due to the economy. These events included fund raisers for charities. We used our prize packages, as well as donating additional prizes for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation with Guns for Hoses at Xtreme in Agawam and Matt’s Outback in CT and Breast Cancer Research at Xtreme in Agawam.

In 2012 we will be playing with a vengeance in order to make up for some lost time in 2011. We will be continuing our tradition of the Custom Prize Package and supporting great fields and great events. We are also looking to expand our team in 2012, so if you are looking for a fun bunch of folks to run with, let us know.

We have not set our schedule for 2012 yet, but we know we will be defending at the biggest event on the east coast, EMR’s Spring Castle Conquest in April.

The Maltese Militia, founded in 2004, is made up of Firefighters, EMT’s, Intermediates, Paramedics, and Industrial Safety providers and their friends and family. You can find more info about our team and our fine sponsors at www.maltese-militia.com
