TCUK 2012 at SENNYBRIDGE- Memories of the ‘ONKEL’

Of course I could write about these epic moments everyone likes to share, those heroic minutes when you feel like you are a superhero. I could write about those scary moments when you just hope you’ll get out without too many bruises or worse.

Or I could write about the party because this was of course also an important part of it.

Perhaps I could mention how exhausting it was bringing the bags to the campsite, the mud, the moisture, the cold nights, the sunny days when we all expected rain, the great bar, the superb organization, the really big staging area,  and all the other details but hey, you all know yourself – because you have been there!

And don’t you all agree that each little detail was important to the overall experience?

So here is my story and I know my mates from THE SILVERBACKS feel the same way:

I am not easily to impress anymore at the age of 44.

If it had not been Tim & Suzy from Shoreline, their good friend Al Murray and Tippmann who stood behind the whole project, not a hundred horses would have dragged me to this place so far away from my local pub!

The long ride in the car, the funny moments on the way up to “Senny”, the great locals we’ve met there the night before this was already worth coming to Whales.

But it should all get so much better….!

So here we ride in our car through the hills of Sennybridge and all of a sudden this village appears:

Oh mama, what an excitement all of a sudden! I did not expect this feeling to kick in so quickly! It is like you sense that you going to enter a motion picture to become part of it!  What a nice first adrenaline rush!

Imagine that you know about UK 100 guys through Facebook and you happen to bump into every one of them during one weekend! What a blast!

Man, did we all have a great time.  I could go on forever writing about the superb hospitality and the laughs we’ve had with all the guys and girls!

Suzy, Sheree,  Manc (the brother from another mother!), Indie, Chris, Collin, Joe, John, Mat,  Paul & Paul, Jake, Jamie, Owain, Hatham, Rick, Omar, Cedric, Simon & Simon, Greg, Tom, Brent, Al, Tim, and every single one of all the many TOP CLASS teams: ALPHA TYKES, N.E.S.T., TIPPMANN TEAM UK, MISFITS, UNDERWORLD,  JOKERCREW, WILTSHIRE RAPTORS, AUP, KAOS, MAD BALLS, CHACALS, TEAM TACTICS, NUTCRACKERS,  just to name those that instantly come to my mind: THE SILVERBACKS thank you all for making this weekend unforgettable!

It was not just the location or the fact that we have been part of the longest paintball event ever so far!

It was the love and dedication of every single individual who actively took part to make these days so special.

It was the experience to meet so many people who felt alike and who treated each other with respect, kindliness and a high level professionalism that was truly extraordinary!

THE SILVERBACKS thank every single person at Senny for making these days so unforgettable! “PAPA”, “SCHMIED”,” RAINMAN”, “DUG”, “MR. T.”, BIG MOMA” and “ONKEL”

 

We are proud and happy having been a part of it!
