On August 19, 2012, The Creed hosted a clinic at AG Paintball in Weare, New Hampshire. This was the first time the team hosted a clinic of this type. With this being our first time running such a clinic, we geared it towards players of all levels. We had a good mix of players, from first time players to players with many years of experience.
The day progressed through many stations including hands on and lecture stations. The Creed presented white board presentations on tactics and leadership, as well as hands on instructions for snap shooting, posting and running and gunning in both the inflatable and woodsball fields. The AG staff hosted a station that introduced, exposed and even allowed players fire assorted markers and try out all sorts of equipment.
During instruction in the inflatable speedball area and town the Creed members were able to help players adjust form and position and show compare how their previous form would have be unsuccessful in an actual event. Players spent lots of time behind the trigger and eventually the cones were replaced with live targets from the Creed.
The team heard nothing but great feedback from individuals and family’s about how they would leave with many great memories. One family was practicing snap shooting in the inflatable bunker field, son vs. mother and stepfather. With his newly acquired snap shooting skills the son was able to “gog†both of them. After that the mother was overheard telling the son “you’re grounded for three weeks!†There was a brief pause and we all were relieved to hear her laugh about the experience. The parents expressed how they were always nervous to come out and play with all the experienced players, but this has allowed them to get comfortable and have the confidence and skills to participate with their son on any given Sunday.
AG provided pizza and bottled water for lunch then groups moved on to the remaining stations. At the end of the day the groups were divided for some closing scrimmages. After building the skills throughout the day the players were in high gear in anticipation for this moment. With the Creed members divided among the teams, it allowed for some final on field coaching as the fighting took place. It was a great way to allow the players to put together all the skills they had learned throughout the day.
The day wrapped up with an awards ceremony for all the players, where they received a certificate of completion, a package with coupons, stickers and other items, followed with a firm handshake from all the Creed players.
We received some great feedback from participants such as:  “I never thought I would get an opportunity like this to play such great paintball and shoot some legendary markers in the same day. Made some new friends and improved my snap shooting, over all a great day.†And  “My son took this paintball clinic at AG Paintball. The instruction was top shelf and the experience for him very rewarding. I would recommend this to anyone. But more important in my eyes, the Creed instructors are just good caring people.â€
