Mad Frog brings it to YOU!

The Catshack Reports Paintball News is pleased to introduce a clever and unique idea that has bloomed into a brisk business. Instead of seeing the masses come out to paintball, why not take paintball to the masses! Mad Frog Portable Paintball does exactly that traveling throughout the US of A with all the paintball equipment to setup whenever and wherever people want to get a game on.

The Catshack Reports took the opportunity to speak with William Crook, one of the owners of Mad Frog Portable Paintball who alongside his wife and co owner Shelly and son Justin, share a passion for paintball. Read on as William details all anyone needs to know about Mad Frog Portable Paintball.

Mad Frog Portable Paintball was created out of the love of playing the game. It all started out with my son Justin and I playing when we went up north to the families property in Michigan. We then tried to get our friends to play with us, that was hard because they didn’t have their own equipment and being gone for the long weekend was not always possible. I went and bought a field package (markers, goggles, chrono, fill station) so friends could play. We had loads of fun.

If we had fun, so could others. I saw the opportunity to have a one-of a-kind business by being portable which enables us to set-up anywhere for anyone. No long travel for players/clients.

Our field is a one-of-a kind setup. Built & designed by me. We visited a lot of fields researching how we could make Paintball portable. We typically set up a 3 vs 3 field with an assortment of air bunkers. If you have large acreage, we can come out and set up one wall and we can layout a bigger field. All you need to do is supply the people & the place…. we bring all safety gear & equipment needed to play. We use Tippmann 98 mostly with a few BT4′s thrown in, chest protectors, goggles, neck guards. I put together an AIRCART to take care of our HPA fills on site (we don’t use co2) .

We don’t just set up a field, give you equipment and then say “go”. We teach you how to be safe & play to have fun. We coach players when needed, inform spectators & promote paintball as positive as possible. Our referee staff are always there to keep players safe (we average 1 referee per 3 players on field) and they tend to be entertaining as well.

Where have we been… what have we done?…. we’ve done everything from birthday parties , corporate events to state fairs all over Michigan and the United States

• Multiple birthday parties, family reunions and bachelor parties etc
• Fundraisers for charities

My player background goes way back to just after dinosaurs died. I played one time at Splat City in Detroit Michigan. I frequent Hell Survivors for most of their Big Games & have recently started to travel to other fields further away to play & promote Paintball (I still have dreams of PRZ in Picton it was so much fun). I have multiple PTI Certifications as do other staff members, I have attended multiple conferences & classes & have learned from what I think are some of the best out there. My favorite set up is my MadFrog AXE, MadFrog Z2 Hopper, Crossfire HPA Tank, Sly Profits(camo), custom Valken pants… all custom gear made by Justin or myself @ Crooked Conceptz (facebook us)

What will we be doing…..

Oct 13th & 14th we will be @ Area 51 with our Speedball fields & our Crooked Conceptz Studio with stuff for sale that you can have customized on site.

We will be going back to the local schools for sure. It’s a good way to get kids into paintball the right way…We plan on making a few stops at fields to next year to play as family. The true reason I’m involved in paintball is that I am a father who enjoys spending time with my son & daughter …..family is everything to me.

All of this was only possible because my wife helped me grab a crazy dream & make it a reality (123)… 22+ years & counting….

Last but not least we asked the question that many are wondering .. why is the frog mad? …. to which William replied “I’ll leave that unanswered… Don’t mess with a Mad Frog!!!”
