Team Wulfenkow and the 42nd Legion have some exciting news about our merger. !

NEW PAINTBALL TEAM CREATED TO HEAVILY PROMOTE SCENARIO PLAY

Recognized scenario team and Mil-Sim team combine to promote the sport of paintball and market scenario specific vendors and gear. On August 4, 2012 members of Team Wulfenkow from Christiansburg, VA and the members of the 42nd Legion from Roanoke, VA voted unanimously to combine and form the new Wulfenkow Legion scenario paintball team.

The new team is better able to promote the sport of paintball by using the combined resources of the original teams to expose new and experienced players to equipment and game play they might otherwise not have been able to access. Members of the 42nd Legion have been recognized as one of the hardest working Mil-Sim teams in the Mid-Atlantic region. Formed in 2007 with disciplined players and former military members, they have been deeply rooted and recognized in the Fulda Gap game. With successive MVT awards and recognition for team spirit and readiness, they were formidable both on and off the field.

Team Wulfenkow has been a part of the scenario paintball scene in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Mid-West regions of the United States since 2006. Despite many accolades for game play and sportsmanship, the team is most recognized as the first scenario team to utilize pink jerseys on the field. They have also supplied the most winning command staff in the history of the Skirmish Big Game series. With over 40 active members, the team was regularly asked to participate as the third entity at games to add an element not easily written in by a game director.

With the formation of their new team, the co-captains expect to have a stronger presence at games in the eastern half of the United States while continuing to promote paintball through game presence, clinics, and their charitable work with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Heart Association, and the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. The Wulfenkow Legion will continue to promote the sponsors that each team brought to the merger including Planet Eclipse, Flurry Industries, Pinokio Hoppers, Valken, Tiberius Arms, SlingPaint.com, Hammerhead Paintball, and the Pizza Inn of Christiansburg, VA in addition to their field sponsors Wolf’s Ridge Paintball, Inc. in Riner, VA and the Swamp Paintball Park in Hayes, VA. They will also be looking for opportunities to promote scenario paintball play through new relationships with companies and fields looking to expand this market of the sport.
