NPPL Las Vegas World Championships – We took 9th. We missed the cut by 18 points – meaning of the 21 teams they took 8 to Sunday and we just missed it. We had a super hard bracket and learned a few more lessons about the importance of scoring points in the NPPL and not just winning games (5wins, 3 losses was 18 points short. Two other 5-3 teams made it in.) The teams who played in the Finals (Top Gun and Savage) were in our bracket so we feel we played great. Watch out for us in 2012. It was a great event and we have a lot to build on for the 2012 season now. Can’t wait for HB in the spring. Continue reading »
Max’d Kidz opened up their 2011 season last weekend playing Division 2 in RPL Event #1 in Southern California. The competition was stiff and the team came up just short of what would have been miraculous, a first place finish at their first Division 2 tournament, bumping up from Division 4 last season. First place would have been great, but we are still pleased with 2nd place to open up a new season in a higher division. Continue reading »
Welcome Mark Pagan to the Catshack Reports. Recently during some surfing around the www I happened to come across a Facebook page that caught my eye. Not another “Everybody love Paintball” page but rather one that takes the time to post up paintball items and news of interest. Not just the average Facebook page that includes much of the same but rather a page that does exude a genuine interest in paintball and its longevity by putting up tidbits of news on products and the who is who as it pertains to paintball. With a little digging to find out who was behind this we discovered one of New York’s finest, Officer Mark Pagan with the NYPD. Mark has a solid history in paintball and an interesting story to tell. Running everything from the business side of the sport to BallersCafe, a popular internet forum. It is safe to say he is one of those guys with his finger on the pulse of paintball. Now living on the west coast and loving the sun and fun nature that comes along with Cali life. Mr Brown is working day in and day out to promote this sport of ours. Is there a harder working man in this sport? I think not. Continue reading »
