There is a lot happening in British Columbia!. Steve Cox moved to Burns Lake, British Columbia in 2010 with a full 22 years of playing paintball under his belt. His personal background in paintball started in the late 80′s in Newfoundland where his friends and he started playing with Splatmasters for stag parties. They went on to form the “Screaming Seagulls” paintball team. They then lobbied their city hall and signed a deal with the Best Western Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland and leased some wooded land behind the hotel where they opened Newfoundland’s 1st commercial paintball field called ‘Paintball Paradise’.
The Maltese Militia Paintball Team has given away the third prize package of the 2011 season.
Many times we try to use our Custom Prize Package to help in fund raisers. On July 9th, we donated the package to the Guns for Hoses event at Matt’s Outback in Coventry, CT. This was the second event in 2011 to raise money for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

This was the second annual event to raise money for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Special thanks to Mike Rocke for putting this event together ad Joe from Xtreme Paintball for hosting an event for such a great cause. We will be returning to Xtreme on August 13th for a fund raiser for Cancer Research.
Glad the Snow is Finally Melting!
Geko Paintball Closes
It is with sadness that we report that Geko Paintball in Windsor Locks, CT is the latest casualty of the economy. They put the following post up on PBNation:
“It is with a sad heart I have to inform you all that Geko is closed. Due to the bad economy and that string of really bad luck we had been having we have decided to close. We want to thank all of you for your support over the last year. If anyone has left anything there just give Ivan or I a call and we can make arrangements to get it back to you. Again thank you for the support,
Your friends at Gekoâ€
