In extraordinary scenes in Europe, the UK’s Tippmann Challenge event run by Shoreline Paintball sold out less than five minutes after online bookings were opened. The scramble for tickets was made even more astonishing given that the event is not taking place until July 2012……a full nine months away. The Catshack Reports Paintball News recently completed our full assessment of a 16″ DeadlyWind Barrel with the all new Apex Tip accessory. Our initial impressions were very favorable, the barrel arrived in a standard cardboard shipping box. Once opened we found the barrel in a standard plastic barrel tube with a carefully wrapped Apex Tip alongside it. No extra fancy packaging, just the hardware, I am all for doing away with some of the marketing aesthetics to help keep the cost of a product down.  Continue reading »

The Catshack Reports Paintball News launched another epic journey to complete yet another memorable milestone in our quest to attend some of the best paintball games on the planet. The drive to this year’s Tippmann World Challenge 2011 was perhaps the best ever! A simple 4 hour tour from Catshack HQ was near flawless, clear highways had us at the border to Michigan in record time and preparing for the much anticipated million questions that always accompany a border crossing. This time however was something of a real pleasant surprise as the Customs official had something of a real interest in paintball and instead had us get out of the vehicle to show off our Tippmann Phenom’s and talk paintball for a few minutes before waving us onwards.
