Alien Aggression: The Outcome
The morning sun rose over the more than 400 campers, in tents, on the front lawns of WASAGA Paintball. The day started out with both Alien and Human teams preparing themselves and gear for what would be referred to as an epic battle. Excuse me but WOW! This years Wasaga Beach Paintball game was hands down and by far the pinnacle of the 2011 season to date. Canada’s biggest game of the year brought out 1920 paintball enthusiasts which is THE new record for paintball in this country. Very recently The Catshack Reports Paintball News traveled many hours deep into the wilderness of the Great Canadian North to meet up with the man behind such hit documentary TV shows as “Survivorman” and “Beyond Survival”, none other than Mr. Les Stroud. For those wondering, yes, Les is 100% legit, his lifestyle, his very surroundings all lend to the fact that Les is all about survival and living off the land. Les’s cabin, (not an easy task to get access to) is completely off the grid and equipped with solar power and far fewer creature comforts that we all have become used to. Les explained for three weeks in the Spring he has to truck his goods over a quarter mile via his ATV to his home as the rough roads become quite impassable. Continue reading »
I’ll never forget my first introduction to paintball. I was in grade 10 at the time, a mere teenager. School was tough, I was overweight, no one wanted me around and all I did was work and play video games. One day I saw a sign in my local military surplus store. It was advertising a Brass Eagle Tiger Shark paintball marker. I asked the store employee about the marker and the sport as I was interested in playing. Continue reading »
