My name is Paul Williams, an abuse survivor and a paintball player. I have been playing paintball for about 2 years ago, primarily as a way to get away from hanging around bars, sitting on the couch and languishing away life. I spent a number of years under the care and supervision of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. During my time in care I was abused in various group and foster homes, the results of which left me scarred with a mental illness which causes me to react negatively to threats of violence and high amounts of stress. The Wasaga Beach “ArchAngel” game was another stellar paintball event August 21st, 2010. On the Friday night teams from across the province and beyond descended on Canada’s biggest game of the year to erect tent city. Tippmann ran their pistol and pump challenge and Valken alongside Underground Productz and Exalt set up impressive tents only adding to a two day experience that will forever live on in the memories of the hundreds in attendance.
