rgreenspan_003Ryan Greenspan, a man who has been playing at the top of his game for many years.  A part of team Dynasty with over one hundred events played all over the world.  What can be said for this pro paintball player that has not already been said?  He is a man with a very creative imagination, a sense of humor that will not quit and his paintball playing is something most would rather not have to go up against.  Let us see what he has to stay on his recent stop at the CatShack shall we?

With the success and public image of Dynasty what is one thing the general public does not know about the team?

If I told you, then all of our secrets would be released and they would not be secrets anymore!

How did you personally start playing this sport?

Some friends of mine all though it was a good idea to start playing a game called paintball and we all bought cheap entry level pump guns.  Then it snowballed from there!!!! We rose in the ranks in what seemed like no time due to our passion for the sport.

What advice would you give a player just starting out?

If you enjoy the game stick with it and always remember to have fun!  Playing the game because you love the sport is the only way to play.  It is nice to win but to win you have to put in the work to be good.  Hard work equals results.

The PSP ranks you as the 3rd team in the standings, what is the game plan to move up the rankings with World Cup right around the corner?

Well World Cup is the final event so all of the points will get washed and it is a whole new year.  So hopefully we can finally come out with a win.  We will be training and working in the off season to become the team everyone knows.rgreenspan_002

Since most young players ask this question.  What does it take behind the scenes to become a Pro Player?

That mainly depends on who you are.  There is a lot of traveling involved.  Also, there are only a select few players out there who can actually make a living at the top level.  So if you are playing to make money or if you do not like to fly in planes pro paintball may not be for you.

Can most pros live off of what they earn playing?

Not even close.  I would say maybe ten to twenty players in the world can actually live comfortably off of what the earn playing as a pro.

What is your favorite bunker to play and why?

Lay down cans, which are not really in play anymore, because I can stand over them and dominate!

In our current economy what do you believe field owners should do to keep players coming out to play?

Do not try to rob the players!  Give back to the players and they will become loyal to you.  If fields would lower costs to players or just help them out without trying to nickel and dime them players will appreciate it and frequent their fields on a regular basis.  On top of that they will tell other players about your field and increase the number of players the field will see on any given weekend.

Where, in your opinion, will the next big thing in paintball come from?

Hopefully a more unified production system.  If some companies were to go away or become one with each other there would be more consistency.  We need to have more people on the same page when it comes to promoting the sport.

You have traveled the world playing paintball.  Where is your favorite after party spot?

I would have to say Bali and South America.

What is the off field work you do to better the sport?

I just travel around most weekends and do clinics and promote the sport in the best light I can.  The team also has done numerous things with Make-A-Wish, Children’s Hospitals and blood drives to name a few.  rgreenspan_001

Where did the idea for the Dynasty mascot come from?

Alex F. found it online and thought it would be funny!  So three thousand dollars later we now have Dre the Dragon as our official mascot.

Who would you consider the best player in a one on one situation?

That is far too tough of a question to answer I have no clue!! Oliver, Alex, Bobby A., Federov maybe?  There are far too many talented guys to choose just a single person in a one vs. one.

What three things would you bring with you on an island and why?

My name is Ryan and I would bring a robot, a rocket and a rope.  That is how the game works right?  And the rope is just practical.

What can we, the players, do to promote the sport?

Shoot street signs, trash events and event hotels, bonus ball as many new players and walk ons as possible!!  It is sad that people actually do this stuff! Please do not do anything I just said. It is time people stop doing the “bad boy” things.

Dynasty has a huge fan base, what would you like to tell your fans?

I really appreciate all of the support that we get from our families and our friends!  To everyone who has stuck with us for all of the years, and even those who like us, then hate us, then like us again, thank you so much!!  We cannot do it without you!

What music, if any, gets you pumped up for a game?

I am not a music pump me up kinda guy, so its just playing the game really.

How is the new Empire gear holding up?

Great!!!  Their gear is really great quality.  I would expect nothing less from a great company like Empire.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Mocha Almond Fudge!

Any closing statements?

Thanks again to my fans and I will continue to Rock for you guys as much as possible! An extra awesome special thanks to my mother Loni!!!!!!!

Thanks to Ryan for stopping by to have a chat with us.  He is a stand up guy with a great sense of humor.  Be sure to show you support for the boys in blue when they come to a town near you.  dynasty_001
