The Catshack was on hand to witness what can only be described as an intense, cutthroat competition as 8 of the top teams from both the CXBL and AXBL series descended on Flagraiders Paintball in Kitchener Ontario Friday September 18th, 2009 for the finals with the struggle for the trophy to last the entirety of the weekend.
As the finals has begun so to has the competitive spirit that all of the caliber teams brought to the table in what is perhaps one of the best speedball competitions that Ontario has ever seen.
Some very intense paintball took place between the teams in forty minute rounds where 5 players sought to utterly eliminate the other team and snatch the flag in a flag push style format for which one point was awarded each time the flag was delivered to the opposing teams end.
Some of the highlights included watching the Philly All American Heros
compete as well as the Upton Crew, Flagraiders and St Albert’s…all of which made for some crazy, exciting, unbelievable paintball.
The Catshack Reports caught up to several pro players including Billy Bernacchia of the NE Hurricanes and Avalanche, Tim Montressor of the Philly Americans as well as Bart Yachimec and Justin Cornell of Edmonton Impact who joined the fray ….below are the Catshack’s video interviews with a few more names to join The Catshack Hall of Fame
A very special thanks to the organizers of the AXBL/CXBL Finals, Robert Lee of BuyPBL and to Joe Kimpson, owner of Flagraiders Paintball in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada for all their hospitality towards the Catshack and for playing a part in another epic paintball experience!
