Tactical Anarchy Paintball Ltd is the latest field to open in Canada, located 45 minutes west of Edmonton just off of highway 627. With six fields to choose from it is the ultimate scenario destination for the hard core player in all of us. In the CatShack we have the owner Des Lauder to tell us why he opened and what you can expect when you visit the field.
The field itself is approximately sixty acres with thirty of that being heavy woodland. The proshop offers rentals that include Tippmann Alpha Black markers, Tippmann A5’s set in full auto and of course air fills. With packages set up for birthday parties, bachelor parties and much more the field is ready for your group, reservations are required. They have snacks such as soda, chips, water and candy bars on hand for those who get mid game munchies. And for those who do not have the proper clothing they have clean coveralls for renters to use.
Right now the field has six designed fields for you to play on. Utah beach is that has you landing on the WWII battleground equipped with dug out trenches and pill box bunkers up on the hill. Move from there to the Wolf’s Lair which is multiple structures set up in very close proximity of each other for those that love close quarters combat scenarios. The third field is the Prison Camp where you will be tasked with rescuing your fallen comrades while taking heavy from from the enemy.
Moving on to the fourth field you will note “The Town” which has structures on a vehicle lined street for you to conquer with your friends and family. Trot on over to the fifth field to find the “Pentagon”, this field offers some more close quarters combat to suit your needs. Get in tight and blast away. The last of the six fields is called “River Town” which of course would be set along a small creek with a bridge and buildings for you to battle it out in and around.
The field’s hours of operation are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am to 9:00pm with weekdays being by appointment only.
With multiple rental package levels to choose from there is something for every level of player here at Tactical Anarchy, they love to help out newer players as they remember we all were new at one time or another. On Saturday, September 26 the field is hosting the Battle of Mogadishu with the start time being 10:00am. Cost is $20 if you register before the 18th, $30 if you register before the 25th and $40 the day of the event. The paint cost will be a respectable $65 a case. They will be giving away prizes and to register you can call Desmond at 780-777-5520 or email him at deslauder@hotmail.com.  The Somalia Militia will out number the US troops 3 to 2, chose wisely.
