KobraLogo-3As promised a few days ago, The Catshack Reports is pleased to present a new product we think has produced solutions to problems plaguing some of today’s already existing products.

DSC_6621The new Kobra Line remote line developed by K&L Air Products in Ottawa, Ontario has produced a product that solves many issues common to the existing remote lines of today. The remote lines running slide checks always have issues with o rings and leakage. Many turn to the remote line without the slide check much like me, but then one must go through the trouble of manually de pressurizing the marker before unattaching the device. Lets not forget the tangly mess that some remote lines produce.

Enter Kobra Line with a revolutionary twist connector that acts much the same as the slide check. It replaces the slide check and quick disconnect, making its connection and disconnection under full system pressure (tank to marker), all with out draining air from any supplied source of air easily with a mere twist of 2 fingers. As well it also eliminating those troublesome blown orings……and ….the line itself is made of a thinner tubing and allows for little to no twisting up of the line as is common with other remote lines. The line includes an additional piece of rubber tubing that protects the hose connections and stops the link from getting kinked in this spot.

The Kobra Line was invented out of sheer frustration. Owner Fern Kiroauc’s son, who playsK&L Logo 1 paintball often complained to his father about his remote line and all the problems associated with it. Fern, an inventor with a strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics for the past 25-26 years took a good long look at today’s products and armed with a few ideas of his own took his idea to some engineers. Not long thereafter the engineers put the idea onto CAD and Kobra Line was born.

As it stands at the moment Kobra does not have a concrete retail price as the product is still just that new…we understand it may be pricier than other remote lines however….I also know Scenario Players are willing to pay a bit more for the best products. Expect the Kobra Line to start being available in retail stores by Christmas time.

The Kobra hose will have a one year warranty from date of manufacture. As for the Kobra connectors there will be a set of extra o rings supplied with it for first time repair. Although, they do not see the player replacing o rings very often in their Kobra connect system. The Kobra-Lines The Catshack had opportunity to see and have players field test last Sunday, were original lines produced last April. The connector is very low maintenance. If treated with respect like any other equipment out there, Kobra is confident that there should be little to no problems for a long long time playing. Kobra Lines have been played/tested in the field as far back as June 2008.

For the Catshack video showing the Kobra Line itself (patent pending # 26211)…please see below
