The Catshack Reports can’t help but think The Highland Skulls in Brooklyn NY got it going on!…Even their photos are enough to make someone look twice. In short the Skulls are a very well outfitted group who are quickly developing a reputation for playing a great game of paintball. Long story short, the Highland Skulls is a team who’ve come a long way from playing Outlaw paintball as they used to. When they play, they enjoy playing the game right, and are highly motivated. They’ve become pretty well known in a very short amount of time. They love everything about the game, from meeting new people to playing teams that make them step up their game.
The Skulls are made up mostly of guys who grew up together in Brooklyn NY, so they’re more then just a team they’re a family . They set goals for themselves on and off the field. They diligently work to achieve each of those goals. Yes they can come off as a little rough around the edges sometimes but they take the game and their goals very seriously.
Paintball has made a huge and positive difference in their lives and they expect to be doing this for a long time. Some of them even expect their children will eventually be picking up a paintball marker. The Skulls give back to the community and are trying to be remembered for something positive and inspire others to keep the sport alive.
The Highland Skulls do it all from Scenario and Woodsball to Speedball as well. To date they have been together as a team since 2006. Under the direction of Team Captain Robert Ruiz the team itself has grown to become 15 members strong. Hailing out of Brooklyn NY they take a total of three Sundays each month to practice at Cousins Paintball in Staten Island…quite the practice regimen.
Here’s an excerpt from an announcement recently written by the owner of the TTPL tournament series:
