The Catshack Reports received a Max’d Kidz weekly update as follows:
Hello sponsors and supporters:
This past weekend the team competed in a charity event for Toys for Tots at Hollywood Sports Paintball Park in Bellflower, CA. Each member of the team contributed 3 new unwrapped toys to be donated to families in need by Toys for Tots.
The event was a bit heavy on the competition side as it was an Open event and players from teams like Aftermath and Blast played against teams like ours. We played 5 preliminary games. We lost Game 1 to a very good D3 Team (we are D4). We won Game 2 against a D4 Team. We lost Game 3 against a D3 Team- almost pulling it off but lost a 1 on 1 in the final 45 seconds of the match. We lost game 4 against another really good D3 Team – again losing in the final minute in a 1 on 1 scenario. We won Game 5 in another final minute 1 on 1 against a great D3 Team that was 4-0 before us. We missed the quarter finals and a 4-1 by just a hair.It was a fun event for a good cause and we were pleased with the way the team played.
A few thank yous for the past month or so
Thanks to Nicky Cuba for the new headbands for the team to wear at the event. We got lots of comments on them and directed them all to the website.
Junior, thank you for the Max’d Kidz section on Baller’s Cafe.
Tom, thank you for posting our logo and link on The Catshack Reports.
Nolan, thank you for the Exalt gear. First tourney the Kidz used it in and they loved it.
Gio, thank you for the help to play at SC for me.
Rob, thanks for choosing to use me in the next Short Bus for Derder.
We are currently trying to firm up our 2010 plans for events and will try to update you by next week what our plans are.
