Spraymore MEGA webThanks to our friends over at Operation Milsim in Niagara Falls Ontario, The Catshack Reports got our hands on one of these fancy Spraymore Paintball Mines to test and review. The Catshack’s review returns pretty favorable results as follows.

Connecting with Jorj and Ian of Operation Milsim, we took the Spraymore Paintball Mine onto an area of the field over at Flagswipe Paintball this past Sunday December 6th.

DSC_7402Looking it over the mine is made of some pretty durable construction and if handled properly appears to be a fairly solid piece of hardware. You take the hand pump and watching the gauge to one side on the pump itself you pump 50 PSI into the feed nipple on the mine. Another interesting aspect would be the PVC lid with holes punched in it for spray dispersal. Thus someone could easily take more PVC piping to customize for various spray patterns.

One drawback I found with the mine had to be a relief switch which apparently is very sensitive. On the first test and being less familiar with the hardware, the switch was inadvertently touched causing the mine to go off. Armed with this knowledge however can have others using the mine to treat the device accordingly.

With the help of young assistant Ryan, the mine was reset and for our test baby powder was used. The Catshack Reports had Ryan retreat with the remote in his hand to be easily 100ft removed from the mine. Ryan did so, hit the remote button and the mine went off flawlessly causing easily 7ft in the direction it was set for to show traces of powder. No doubt with liquid fill the spray pattern would have covered a much broader square footage.

Following today’s test I am now able to say that performing our test and touching base with the Operation Milsim boys who had already performed numerous tests on their own… Spraymore Paintball Mines are a very decent piece of ordinance to add to your own team’s stockpile for use at any licensed facility.

So easy even a Tomcat can use it ….

For this and other great paintball toys…give Operation Milsim a holler, those guys have some pretty cool stuff.

  2. Cost? What Kind of paint do you use for this system (or is recommended)? Sorry if those questions were answered in the audio, my computer isn’t playing back videos correctly right now.

  3. tomcat says:

Paint fill can be either made or purchased, the mine is pretty easy in that it can take anything from water to a thicker paint fill or powder as we demonstrated…as for cost, it is my understanding that the unit demonstrated in this video cost just under $100 Cdn plus applicable taxes of course, I will of course double check again with the guys at Operation Milsim.
