DPT_2007logo2Enjoy the second part detailing the Delta Paintball Machine….a juggernaut of a team with a long history in the game and a reputation to match. To pick up where we left off, Team Captain Josh Foote answers a number of questions posed to him by The Catshack Reports.

Josh what is the teams favorite paintball field ever?

That’s a toss up between EMR and CPX. Each has their strong points, and few (if any) weaknesses. I think it speaks volumes that I rather drive 3 hours (or 12 in CPX case) then play at most of the local fields. The level of play is so much higher at these fields.

DSCN1399Whats on the books for 2010 in the way of events to attend, sponsors for the team and changes in the team itself if any?

We are currently collecting dates for our 2010 tour schedule. I know we will be attending Living Legends III at CPX Sports again (everyone has to wait for Viper to release the date, but it’s going to be the MUST attend event of the year again), along with all of the EMR events, War on Drugs III at KBAR’s Fireball Mountain here in New Jersey, a Fox-4 event in Massachusetts, a event at the Albany Scenario Club in New York and the team will be competing in the SPPL this year. In total, we will be doing 20 or so events again, just waiting for all the fields to release their schedules.

As far as sponsors for the 2010 season goes, we will be staying with all of our current sponsors, including Smart Parts. The reason why I mention them in particular, is due to the fact that there have been a lot of rumors floating around the internet about the company; some have been so malicious in nature, that needless to say, it’s sad to read what some people have been posting. Now, while I don’t know everything about the situation, I do know more then most, and all I’ll say is some of the conspiracy theory’s that I have been reading are comical at best.

The team itself will continue pushing forward and breaking down more barriers within and outside the paintball industry itself. I can not speak to much about it now, as we are in the early stages with some of our future business dealings, but it will be beneficial for paintball. Besides that, we will continue expanding our brand image to everyone, with the ultimate goal of becoming a house hold name within the industry. You will just have to stay tuned to witness it.

What if anything does the team do to maintain the longevity of Tribal Conquest 023paintball as a sport?

The team is always welcoming new players to run with us at the events we attend. We know that is may be daunting to come to a event all alone, but if you have the option of playing along side a group of players, you will feel more welcomed, and will ultimately be less timid to attend future events. That is a win-win situation for paintball in general, as each new player we bring continues to play paintball that same player will most likely bring another player at one point. However, if you beat down on newer players, like some teams enjoy doing, the chances of that person coming back are a lot less likely.

Do you guys do any competition or is it just strictly big games?

We are going to be competing in the SPPL this upcoming season. Besides that, we stick to Scenario and Big Games, our favorite being the Viper Paintball events. If you have never played one before, you have NO idea what you’re missing. Attend one and you’ll be hooked. Trust me; you’ll have one of the best times playing paintball. Ever!

We appreciate all the support our sponsors give us throughout the year. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to attend the amount of events that we do. Our current sponsors are; Smart Parts (www.smartparts.com), JT Sports (www.jtusa.com), NXe Paintball (www.nxepaintball.com), Viewloader (www.viewloader.com), Understood Clothing (www.understood.com), PbNation (www.pbnation.com), Virtue Paintball (www.virtuepaintball.com), Fluid Paintballs (www.jtusa.com/?paint/), EMR Paintball Park (www.emrpaintball.com), FogTech (www.fogtech.com) and lastly Shenanigans Irish Pub.

Excellent article as usual. It’s always good to see scenario related paintball in the media. As for delta, good interview but SPPL? Lol, can’t wait to see that disaster.
