Operation Milsim’s Top 10 Products of the Year are as follows;
#10 Paint of the year
We found that while compiling this list that there was no mention of any paintballs for the year of 2009. We found that even though it didn’t make the list for this year, the Draxxus Custom-Print Field ball has got to take home an honorable mention. Now, providing a high quality ball that has made a huge impact in the region, penetrating the market, and giving some other paintballs a run for their money. With custom labels, Draxxus helps fields cut down on issues that they used to face with low quality, overpriced paintballs that were not specific to their field, and only their field’s application use. 2010 expects to be a HUGE year for Draxxus.
#9 Invert Halo II
#8 Full Clip Shemagh
#7 X7 Phenom
Corey Rice previously with Angel has teamed up with Tippmann to create a
revolutionary new product on the market. Never before have you had the security of knowing that if your battery fails and dies, you will still be able to keep yourself in the fight with a mechnical semi-automatic over-ride installed in the marker. Operating at 300 PSI, improving the Cyclone feeding system, and making it fit onto the current X7 platform makes the Phenom a contender in 2009… however, due to the quite so recent release of the product, we believe that the X7 Phenom will make a more direct impact in 2010.
#6 Exalt Speedfeed
Ed from Exalt has created a revolutionary new product that has taken the
market by storm. Fitting all loaders from the Halo, Pinokio, and Vlocity, Exalt has also produced the newest addition to the family, the Rotor Speedgate. Players all over the world are able to have an affordable solution that fits more loaders than any other speed system on the market. Proven in battle, these speedgates don’t lose paint, are easy to install, and last. This product made our list due to the number of players in Ontario, and Canada-wide that have these speedgates installed on their loaders.
#5 Tiberius T8.1
Tiberius has reintroduced the Tiberius 8 line with some revolutionary new changes. The Tiberius 8.1 is an improved version of the T8, and now comes with not only a undermount kit, and first strike ready magazine, but it also has come in at a significantly lower price point than the TPX. With the upgraded magazine system, it trumps the T8 and comes with the addition of the quick change tool, and upgraded spring kit, making the T8.1 even better. A sub $250cdn pistol that is First Strike ready, with these features, it is the first of its kind.
#4 FLASC Products
Dave Voortman, Canadian manufacturer has created some of the sickest new tactical products available on the market for 2009, 2 of which deserve particular attention, the FLASC TM-7 Rip Clip Adapter, which has sold over 50,000 units worldwide, and his extremely popular double threaded barrel system that allows users to not only have the most customizable options on the market, but has also made it more affordable than any other company for Canadian players.
#3 High Pressure Air Tanks; 48/3000.
With more fields switching from CO2 to HPA, the standard in paintball begun to change several years ago, but 2009 saw the biggest impact to date for 48/3000′s sales, use, and promotion. HPA tanks have become more common because they are more affordable, last longer in hydro testing, more companies are providing a competitive market for the High Pressure Air tank.
