banner.cobra.forumOn January 29th, Fern from Kobraline flew down to Texas to checkout the Blackhawk Down game at Tactical Paintball in Harwood, TX. We were honored to meet Fern and hang out with him at our camp. He was generous enough to let some of our team members test out his Kobraline product, and he even let me keep the remote line. Thanks Fern!

kobraline Upon initial inspection, the remote line looked solid and was light-weight. It came with the remote hose and a modified ASA plug. The typical slide check and quick disconnect was replaced by a unique twist connector. There were no visible o-rings on the remote that I could see. Although, there is one on the KobraConnect ASA plug that twists into the tank adapter, but that’s expected. So the maintenance should be minimal. The tubing looks a little bit thinner and shorter than most remote lines. It has some reinforcement tubing at the top and bottom of the tube. Looks good!

I twisted the remote onto my fully-pressurized tank. There was no need to make sure that a slide-check was in closed position. No air leaked either. Then simply I twisted the remote into the marker and it instantly pressurized with a just very light hiss. De-pressurizing the marker was just as easy. With a few twists of the knurled parts, the remote comes off just a typical hiss. Afterwards, I de-pressurized the tank and was able to remove the line from the bottle without any trouble, even with some air still in the line.

Then I re-connected the remote and hit the field. The line fits snug up against my waist. There was no tangling and it stayed out of the way. In fact, I never even thought about the remote line during the game. That is a good thing! The remote line maintained pressure throughout the cold day and night. I had no problems during the course of 12 hours.

In addition to great performance, the KobraLine comes with a one year warranty on the hose. Of course, it works with HPA and CO2 as well. In conclusion, I believe that this is a solid product that will reduce the headaches (i.e. blown o-rings) associated with typical slide checks.
