Members of The War Hounds have been around quite some time in the Southern Ontario Scenario Paintball Community. On the numerous occasions that The Catshack Reports has run into them at various events, it can easily be said that the group is always a pleasure to interact with in the staging area but a very tough team to beat on the battlefield.
The War Hounds paintball scenario team was formed early in 2007 by members of Part Time Killers recreational paintball group. Members of the group saw the need for a dedicated team within the main body of the PTK membership, plus the need to carry foward the groups beliefs of safety and good sportsmanship where-ever they played. Giving back to our communities is also high on the agenda for the War Hounds team, as we have supported others with their charities plus our own charities we hosted and continue to host.
The team has grown from a ragtag handful of players to
a well organized roster of 35 dedicated scenario players that attend all the big games and events in Ontario. The War Hounds are currently sponsored by Defcon Paintball and other sponsors are in the works at this time. The team is led by Kevin “Arrow” Grell and Daniel “Flint” Gershtein, both of whom have a wealth of
experience in the paintball arena, as well as the other senior War Hound teammates, who pass this experience on to the younger players. We are closely associated with other teams in Ontario and are members of the Canadian Scenario Paintball Operations (CSPO) group. The team has a competitive streak but with a social consciousness, which makes it unique.
