Ten questions with ten answers, asked to the everyday paintball player who make up the heart of this sport. With questions that appear simple you can get a plethora of answers. Below I present the beginning of a work in progress, hoping to make it a series with answers from everyone in every facet of the game.

1. Why do you play paintball?
For the pure adrenaline rush for sure. 90% of my friends play paintball, Sundays or Mondays are like church day for us.
2. What is your favorite style of play, and why?
Woodsball, it’s cheap in paint and air and you can be all commando. Like Predator, minus a guy yelling “Get to the Choppa”
3. What are your plans for the 2010 season?
Our own field is close for the Summer for the G8 Summit. So we’re planning to go 2 hours away to play. See…our love for the game.
4. What is your all time favorite marker you have owned?
I bought an ION-XE last Summer. But to be honest, I will stick to my Tippmann 98 anytime.
5. Where is your favorite field, why?
Our field, we get cheap paint.
6. Who are the 3 best players in the game?
Yosh Rau, Colt Roberts and Chris LaSoya
7. What can be done to better the game?
From what I’ve found experienced from the past 4 years I’ve been playing. It’s refereeing, most referees don’t get into the action and ‘paint check’ the players. Also, the game is expensive, let’s face it. Paint can get pricey, a bag of 500 can go up to $30 in some fields. If somehow that can change, we’d get more players in an actual paintball fields and not play in the woods by themselves which usually leads to injuries.
8. What is your local paintball scene like?
We have now a two 5 men and women team in our company. There’s not many players around our town, the largest gathering I’ve organized was 30 people. This is why I’m trying to promote the game through videos in youtube. There’s two fields in our town, the second one will open this Summer. So we’ll see how that goes.
9. If you could have a mascot what would it be?
A dude in a giant pink paintball with pink spandex for his legs. LOL
10. Where will paintball be in 10 years?
Hopefully more interactive. Like our masks have screens that tell us we actually got shot. It’s an idea but it can be possible 10 years from now.
Realistically though; I hope paintball goes into Summer Olympics. I really want to see countries coming together, bringing their best paintball players and win some medals for it.

1.Why do you play paintball?
Because it keeps life going, It gives me something to look forward to on the bad days.
2. What is your favorite style of play, and why?
Aggressive I like being up in the action and giving the other team war.

Enter in a local tournament series and play tons of woodsball.

Splat-tag because Darrin gets what the players want and he is not after the money.

Thomas “troll” Taylor, Austin Kranzler, Rich Telford
7. What can be done to better the game?
Cut down on some of the swearing and the bonus balling and start helping each other out more.
8. What is your local paintball scene like?
Crappy some fields and stores are shutting down
9. If you could have a mascot what would it be?
a panda bear
10. Where will paintball be in 10 years?
I hope for one day it will be in the x-games and parents wont see it as harmful

1. Why do you play paintball?
It’s a sport which keeps me in shape. It’s also great stress relief and I love it!
2.What is your favorite style of play, and why?
Speedball / GridFighters – Fresh new format that’s 10x’s more physically demanding and extremely fun to play.
3. What are your plans for the 2010 season?
GridFighters Events & World Cup confirmed so far.

Ultimate Paintball… this is where it all started.
6. Who are the 3 best players in the game?
IMO – Thomas Taylor (Speed), Chris LaSoya (Grace), Ollie Lang (Gifted?)
7. What can be done to better the game?
Remove the AGG factor and attitude from the younger generation. Break through to the general public and make the sport more recognized.
8. What is your local paintball scene like?
Novice/open tournament series can’t seem to be able to run… Most attribute the fact to CXBL pretty much consuming all the time and $$ from players in that division.
9. If you could have a mascot what would it be?
A Beaver! GO Canada!! :p
10. Where will paintball be in 10 years?
On TV and the Olympics!! (one can only hope!)
