flag_raiders logoNothing is better in my opinion than paintball for charity. Raising funds for worthwhile causes and at the same time showing the general public the power of paintball is always awesome. Here is another worthwhile endeavor that recently took place at the Flagraiders indoor location in Kitchener ON.

DSC_1933On February 20th, 2010, Flag Raiders Paintball Games along side the Dominican Service Project hosted a very noble charity game, Ballin’ for Haiti. Ben Allen otherwise know on the forums and to his TFR brothers as A5Ben put together this charity game in hopes to raise money as well as get some much needed supplies for the poverty stricken people of Haiti. As many as 50 people showed up including members of the Task Force Raiders to play a great day of ball for a great cause.

Ben and others from the Dominican Service Projects who have been going to Haiti for the past five years have volunteered their time and efforts to help these people in their time of need. Now this goes way past volunteering as all of them pay for their own transportation and lodging as well as renting buses to transport themselves to the construction sites. Each person that went down each took a 100 pound bag of much needed supplies such as medical and humanitarian items (Aspirin, baby formula, even medical gloves) with over 25 DSC_1953people going down they will be bringing nearly 13 tons of aid to Haiti. The group will be building a medical center and as many houses as their funds will allow.
