Paintball Players emergency information packet
How many times have you been playing a game and had to take an unscheduled break due to someone getting sick or injured? Did you ever think, “What would happen if I was hurt or sick and could not tell folks about me and my health?” Would your teammates know your medical history, especially under the stress of seeing a good friend sick or injured? What if your hurt or ill and none of your teammates are anywhere close by? If any of these situations happened to you, how would the responding EMT’s and Paramedics know how to tailor your treatment to your medical history?
We are now providing the answer. The Maltese Militia is now making available to all players the Paintball Player Emergency Information Packet. The PPEIP is a small (5×8) card that you fill out with the information that emergency responders would need. If you are awake and alert, it is still nice to have as it will save a lot of questions from the responders. It is very similar to the file of life that are available for home use, or the medic alert jewelry that is also available. The card folds in half to cover all your info to help keep it confidential. This makes it a small 4×5” card. It is very easy to fill out and carry in your gear. We suggest that you carry it with you at all times on the paintball field. The form is useless if you are on one end of the field and the form is back at camp.
Obviously this will be useless if the responder cannot find it. We suggest that you laminate the card and carry it on a lanyard around your neck. If that will not work, put it in a shirt or vest pocket, preferably the left one. You should also let your teammates know exactly where the form is in case that you cannot tell the responders. (Finally, we suggest that you let the folks at the field you are playing know that you have the info available and the location of the form.)
The Maltese Militia is making these forms available to all players at no cost. It is a simple download from our web page. It is in the Microsoft Excel 2010 format, if you need a different format, please contact us for details.
Spring Castle – Pure Paintball Insanity
This issue of Splatter is going out just before we head off to one of our favorite fields and biggest events. We are headed to EMR for the annual kick-off for Northeast big games. In the June issue we will have full coverage of the event. You should also be able to find photo and video at our web page shortly after the event.
Stinger paintball Designs – Custom Hopper.
Coolkid did some work with Stinger Paintball Designs and was able to get the custom Pinokio Hopper designed and delivered in less than a week and a half. Working with Mark and Tracy was a breeze and they do everything they can to make sure that you will be happy with your order.
After deciding on the design and getting the details worked out, they put a custom grey fade paint from front to rear and added the custom team logo as well as the nickname and team name to the hopper. They even made sure that the fade matched on both noses.
The hopper started life as a clear Pinokio hopper and Stinger puts the graphics and paint on the inside so the shell protects your graphics. Due to the inside painting, some of the structure of the hopper shows through and gives the project a industrial feel.
If you are looking for custom work for your marker or hopper, give Stinger Paintball Designs a call. They have top notch products and there customer service it some of the best I have ever seen.
In the photos you can also see the custom grips they made for us a couple of years ago. They look as good today and the day they arrived.
