Jackals, Commonwealth Expeditionary Forces, take 1st Place in the Dutch
Scenario Competition

June 19-20, Netherlands
.  The Jackals, one of the component teams of 9
BRIT PARA, 6 AIRBORNE, CEF, took to the field at the annual Dutch
Scenario Competition – a scenario paintball tournament that brought
together some of the best teams from across the Netherlands.  The
Jackals, who placed 2nd in the tournament last year, were looking for
the big win and did not disappoint, despite some fierce competition.

Their first match put the Jackals up against Dutch Legion, a seasoned
scenario team with tons of experience.  Playing aggressively right off
the break, the Jackals went straight for the jugular, managing to push
the Legion back across the field and overrunning their home base.  When
Dutch Legion forced a reset, the Jackals went straight back to the
attack, again pushing their opponents back to their dead box.  The match
ended in a convincing Jackals victory, scored at 88-22 and giving the
Jackals the momentum they were going to need in the matches ahead.

For their second match, the Jackals squared off against Enigma.
Enigma’s tight playing style and solid defensive game was the perfect
match for the Jackals punchy and aggressive approach to the game.  Both
teams struggled to find advantage, but the other always seemed to be
ready with the perfect counter.  This exhausting grinder ended in a
54-54 draw.

Next off, the Jackals faced ADHD, a high energy and innovative team that
immediately put the experienced Jackals team on the defensive with some
bold moves and innovative tactics.  The Jackals were, however, quick to
adapt and managed to contain and then flip the early ADHD advantage,
going over on the offensive themselves.  When the dust settled the score
board told the tale: Jackals 77, ADHD 31.

With victory now in their grasp, the Jackals faced their final test -
the Praetorians.  This experienced team proved highly capable, and full
of surprises.  The two teams went at each other hard, each probing for
weaknesses, and pouncing quickly on the slightest advantage.  Control of
the field swung back and forth, first to the Jackals, and then to
Praetorians, with the outcome too close to call.  In the end, it was the
Jackals who managed to maintain a narrow edge over their competitors,
winning the match 56-52.

Final scores for the put the Jackals on top:

The Jackals:  273
Enigma:  212
The Praetorians: 202
Dutch Legion: 199
ADHD: 132

The Jackals and the CEF wish to congratulate all participating teams on
an excellent competition.
