Saturday July 28th, 2012 marked another fantastic paintball engagement at Adrenaline Paintball with their annual Rednecks vs The World big game.Conditions could not have been better as over 150 paintballers took up arms for either William Veens of Veens Irregulars for the Rednecks facing off against Miss Canada 2012 Jaclyn Miles and her XO Wizzard of The Northern Gunmen for the World side.

In my honest opinion this was no ordinary big game either. Both teams took the field and immediately clashed in some crazy exchanges of paint. The battles so fierce that each team were literally and repeatedly driven right back into their insertion zone. Totally surrounded by the opposition first the World side and then The Rednecks were forced to fight their way back out on to the field.

One interesting aspect was the number of flag stations for points which were tracked in real time and posted on a field map. That map saw sweeping changes throughout the day as the two sides pushed back and forth with such determination it was almost dizzying.

“The Northern Gunmen were more than pleased to step in and support Miss Canada 2012 Jaclyn Miles in her debut as this years World General” mentioned Kasra “Kaz” Tanha of the Gunmen and Visual Reviews “The first half of the day we all were worried as we thought we were way behind in point scores. The second half of the day our side needed to step it up and secure all the missions. Overall it was great to see everyone again including Sarge Morin of Erin’s Army out to play the day and enjoy some paintball”

Numerous teams were in attendance to include The Northern Gunmen, BlackOps, OpFor, Relentless Division, Veens Irregulars, A Team Assassins, Velocity Vixens and elements of The Paintball Weazels to name a few.

Miss Canada 2012 Jaclyn Miles, a native of London ON, is no stranger to paintball. Here is a young woman whose life history details those curve balls that life throws in the way and yet she overcame and went on to compete for the top title of Miss Canada 2012 and emerged triumphant this year. Jaclyn is a testament and an inspiration to what young people can do if they really set their hearts and minds to it.

In the company of the Northern Gunmen she once again proved herself,  achieving victory as General for the “World side” at Rednecks vs The World” at Adrenaline Paintball in Melbourne ON. Jaclyn loves her Tippmann Crossover and took the field getting lots of eliminations with her new marker. “I love this adrenaline filled activity, the extreme sport of paintball” …. “my Tippmann Crossover is great and it proved itself with a fantastic performance on the field, huge thanks to Tippmann” she mentioned during our interview.

The final battle was unreal as Adrenaline staff cordoned off a square area of the Tac Town and let the two sides really have at it. It wasn’t long before the buildings were dripping with pink paint as players unleashed all their paint at each other. As the final horn went off and players gathered in the staging area for the usual prize giveaways the final scores were announced by field owner Greg Muscott. This year The World side got the win with 10558 points versus the Rednecks with 9940, not a huge margin and no surprise as the battles were so back and forth all day long. Head Referee Jessica Lee and the Adrenaline game officials did a spot on job of paint checks and insuring the game itself went smoothly and players abided by the game rules.

Delicious BBQ was served by field staff, onlookers also enjoyed a Turkey Shoot won by Trevor Jackal Burleigh of the Relentless Division as well as a Tractor Pull AND muddin with quads and all terrain vehicles. In short a great way to spend the day and an annual big game I really enjoy from beginning to end.
