In the words of pro player Frank “The Tank” Connell, “Any day out playing a game of paintball is a great day indeed” … some games make it truly worthwhile. Crazy Bill ‘s Paintball in Brantford ON delivered a super and memorable day for a big game for sure. Saturday October 6th teams and individuals descended on The Catshack Reports home field of Crazy Bill’s for another fantastic game. The last game for Erin’s Army held a month or so ago had rain interrupt and mar the day with fewer than expected appearing to get a game on. As a result, game organizer Cro of Wak’d Custom Apparel met with field owner for Crazy Bill’s Carl Ethridge to re schedule the event to coincide with Crazy Bill’s annual fall game “Dead Men Rising”.

General Chris Hazard of Citrus Connection faced off on Trevor “Jackal” Burleigh of Relentless Division as over 140 paintball enthusiasts took to their respective sides at game start. One interesting aspect had to be the teams getting their body part props which in turn bought them the use of a single indestructible player dubbed “The Juggernaut” … the indestructible Juggernaut would take the field for 5 minute intervals and walked through letting players have it with a single or double tap clearing areas that became points of contention.

It was under the command of General Hazard that the red team soon proceeded to dominate the field quite often pushing General Jackals soldiers clear back to their insertion point over the course of the day. Even the Juggernaut could not loosen the iron grip of General Hazard as the Green team took a bit of a pounding throughout. As the dust settled on this one, it was Red that took the victory with an impressive point spread.

Playing paintball and helping to raise funds for a charity or good cause is one aspect of the game that never ceases to amaze me. No other sport on the planet has people come together to exhibit such acts of generosity and positive karma like paintball does. Yet another prime example of the kindness exhibited had to be young Colton Myers. Colton celebrated his thirteenth birthday playing a day of paintball AND he brought Erin Morin of Erin’s Army a bouquet of flowers, how cool is that!

For a small game, there were certainly a healthy turn out of vendors on location that included Pinnacle Paintball and Recon Paintball to name only a couple. Even the new Rockstar Army were out in force lending to a successful and fun day of paintball overall.

Game organizer Cro of Wak’d summed it all up nicely with this post from his Facebook page “I want to thank everyone involved with todays TOUR of DUTY ReInsertion #1. From the renters to the teams, all the Staff and Refs at Crazy Bills, all the Erins Army support staff, the Generals and all their players, Alex Medina, Dave Tyler, Nelson Fonseca, Ulrik Bedos, Tom Tomcat Cunningham, Carl Ethridge and Kateya Scanlan, absolutely everyone!

As great a day as it was today, every event is going to get even better. Game procedures are being implemented in all TOUR Insertions that will ensure constant development of the game and good times had by all ballers. This TOUR is about several things, bringing awareness to the cause we fight for, developing quality events for our ballers and supporters and showing the general public what huge hearts we have and Insertion 1 hit that on all levels. I am truly grateful to all of you who contributed on every level. To all the vendors and sponsors, WOW! the giveaways and raffle contributions were amazing! Over $1400 was raised and $4000 worth of  prizes were raffled not to mention awesome giveaways, truly amazing. I hope everyone had as great a day as I did, I can’t wait to do it again. I assure you these events will grow, bigger, better.

I met some very honorable, respectful and admirable young new players today with whom I was honored to share our event and bring awareness to all. They are the future of this sport and from what I see, its going places. Most of all, I hope they had a memorable experience and seek more. Thank you Young Guns for playing my event!

So much more I will say about all this over the next couple days I’m sure, Thank you ALL!”

Lots of great prizes were awarded with The Catshack Reports itself giving away a rare TGR2 MagFed rifle from ScarabArms and co writer Tina Golden Girl Ruzzo sending along some “Respecting Paintball” Tees.
