A big thank you to the West Point Paintball club for another terrific weekend at the military reservation. The Cadets this year celebrated their 25th year anniversary of providing paintball to the public at West Point, New York. This event broke the attendance record for West Point at over 750 players. Nice job Cadets, again the action was intense, the field was set up with more props then ever before, and the refs were plenty. The Cadets have established a long tradition of quality paintball events, and for many players here in the Northeast the yearly events at West Point have become an annual pilgrimage to attend. Canada and more specifically, Southern Ontario, has seen an unusually mild winter thus far. Mild temperatures here have us weathering more rain than snow to date. Not so Sunday March 4th, 2012 as temperatures dropped to well below zero with a light dusting of that white stuff. As a result conditions were vastly improved for the winter game that the Catshack marks as our inaugural outdoor big game to kick off the 2012 season. How so? … the ground hardened and certainly there was much less mud than what we would have had only a day or so ago. Continue reading »
