ROADTRIP! The full journey the Catshack Reports embarked upon just last weekend was nothing short of epic. From my home here in Ontario, Canada, we crossed the border into New York State without incident. Following a quick stop at the Buffalo Airport to pick up another big Castle Conquest fan we continued on into Pennsylvania State. For those who have never experienced Pennsylvania, the rolling hills and mountains provide a very scenic panorama that make that State a great place to hold the likes of EMR’s Castle Conquest in New Milford. The Paintball University Board of Directors recently selected the Paintball Man & Woman of the Year for 2011. Geko Paintball Closes
It is with sadness that we report that Geko Paintball in Windsor Locks, CT is the latest casualty of the economy. They put the following post up on PBNation:
“It is with a sad heart I have to inform you all that Geko is closed. Due to the bad economy and that string of really bad luck we had been having we have decided to close. Summertime fun….Coverage catch-up!
The summer months included three events for us this year. One at a new field in CT, one for a great cause and one with our old friends at EMR Paintball.
The Summer started off with a trip to our new friends at Geko Paintball. Chicken Fried, Media, Smack and R-Rod headed down and played on the SWAT side trying to stop the Drug Cartel. In 2010 the Maltese Militia was able to give away 5 Custom Prize Packages to 5 lucky players at several of our events. These events included Castle Conquest XXIX at EMR Paintball in New Milford, PA; Guns and Hoses Fundraiser for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation at Xtreme Paintball in Agawam, MA; Western Wars fundraiser for Fallen Firefighters and Police Officers at EMR Paintball in New Milford, PA; Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Xtreme Paintball in Agawam, MA; and the final package at Castle Conquest XXX at EMR paintball in New Milford, PA. One of the keys to every successful paintball game or event is not only the venue itself but a well trained field staff. Time and time again I have seen some big games go down hill fast on account of poor game officials on hand.
