NPPL Las Vegas World Championships – We took 9th. We missed the cut by 18 points – meaning of the 21 teams they took 8 to Sunday and we just missed it. We had a super hard bracket and learned a few more lessons about the importance of scoring points in the NPPL and not just winning games (5wins, 3 losses was 18 points short. Two other 5-3 teams made it in.) The teams who played in the Finals (Top Gun and Savage) were in our bracket so we feel we played great. Watch out for us in 2012. It was a great event and we have a lot to build on for the 2012 season now. Can’t wait for HB in the spring. Continue reading »

World Cup Asia 2011, officially recognized by the royal patron, her highness the Princess of Kedah, was launched with plenty of pomp and ceremony at the opening dinner held at the One Hotel on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. For the first time many of the paintball foreign journalists and photographers laid eyes on the royal family and enjoyed the speeches, dinner and entertainment provided by richly adorned youth who performed dances in traditional Malaysian style. Sawyer and Max’d Kidz competed the first weekend of The NPPL’s D-League in Oceanside at Shawn Walker’s Camp Pendleton Paintball Park. 7-man, D2.
Result – 4th Place Podium spot. We were disappointed with the finish. The team went unbeatable in the prelims and had the #1 seed going into the playoffs. All went well until we hit the Semi-Finals…and then sort of fell apart. A second consecutive 1st Place would have been great. It was right there in our reach – and we just missed it.
